A masquerade party and street parade were the culmination of three weeks of community art and craft workshops and activities, conducted by Sharyn, with members of the local Surat community. Each group had the opportunity to design and make an assortment of masks, with larger masks and decorations designed for street floats and vehicles. Materials ranged from large foam sheets and assorted cardboards, fabric and feathers, paper mache and paint, and glitter and glitz, all glued, stapled, stitched ;or secured, creating a wonderful display of colour for the parade and party.
